F. E. Small Mystery Violin

F. E. Small Mystery Violin 1913 With a stunning one piece back, this violin came into the shop with a broken button and no scroll. Set up to professional standards in my shop with Evah Pirazzi strings and ebony fittings....

“Nicolaus Amatus (made in Czecho-Slovakia)”

“Copy of Nicolaus Amatus (made in Czecho-Slovakia)” A wonky, wonderous violin with a big sound. This instrument came into the shop with a crack in the front, and on further inspection revealed to have a thick top and an integral bassbar. I re-thicknessed the top and fit a new bassbar and set the violin up to professional standards, making all necessary adjustments to accommodate a crooked neck, twisted scroll, and lopsided f-holes. It has character in spades, and a big, lush sound. A real gem. Set up with a 3 tree Despiau bridge, ebony fittings with Wittner tailpiece, and Wondertone strings. Available in my shop on the Sunshine Coast....
