Titian Strad Twins

I have been building 2 matching violins for a pair of cousins who are the same age and both play violin. We decided on the Titian Strad for the model, which is a famous and gorgeous example of the golden period of Stradivaris work. I have put my own signature on many aspects of the model, but the overall form stays true to the original. One of the cousins selected the wood for the backs from Guy Harrison, a lovely violinmaker based in Ottawa. The backs are one piece, and the fronts are 2 piece Alpine spruce. They will be varnished as per the request of the new owners, so when they are done they will be unique, but related. Cousins!
