This violin had a mysterious smash to the lower left bout under the bass f-hole. We finally figured out what had caused the damage- the toggle from the bow holder had smashed through the top of the violin. I had to remove the top of the violin to re-align the crack and reinforce it, and then do some magic with touch up to make the damage disappear visually. It is now glued back together and re-set up and sounding great.
