Description
We can do a consult over Skype if you are considering shipping your instrument to us for repair. We do a final estimate of repair costs when we have the violin in person. If you are on the Sunshine Coast, you can arrange to bring your violin to the shop in person and we can talk about what work needs to be done.
We leave room in our weekly schedule for short repairs and for emergency issues. If you have a larger restoration, we can discuss a timeline with you for completing the repair.
We make every effort to support working musicians, so if you have an accident with your instrument we often adjust our schedule to get you back playing on your instrument as soon as possible.
If you are a musician who is playing regularly, we can loan you an instrument to play while your instrument is being repaired.
We do not charge for a repair consult. If you decide to go ahead with repairs, we will send you a detailed estimate for your approval. Once the repair begins, you can pay for the repair in instalments as it progresses. You will be sent photo updates of the work and are welcome to ask questions about any step in the repair. Full payment is due once the repair is complete. For smaller repairs, payment is due upon completion of the work.
